Part of the reason why I like Noah is due to him being able to fit right here in the comment section!

I'm surprised they're so honest about it, really. I would have expected them to make up some heinous crime or something so the kids don't side with him.

They DO want his head on a spike... I was worried they were getting soft.

Veda has a new face sprite - this time "ominous". Very nice.

@5: Last I checked he gave his buffer in the 'hundreds'. I'd believe it's still in the hundreds, but I'd also understand he'd want to refill it. That said, I also last saw things referring to this....ages back. So it's possible he's down to the tens, but I don't -think- it's been more then 200 comics of buffer destruction.
15815: Neoriceisgood - Wednesday, January 17 2018 - 9:19 AM
@5&chameleon.
Buffer is at page 1328.

I really really hope there isn't a 'twist' to this, no matter how realistic.
I was in a kids home, some adults see kids without means or support networks as easy bait. 'Undesirables' would have a bias against getting law involved in wrong doing.:c
15817: Chameon - Wednesday, January 17 2018 - 11:09 AM
@Neoriceisgood: Ah, 250 pages of buffer (give or take.
Nice, a good deal better then I expected. I was honestly guessing 200.
Thanks for keeping everyone posted on the size of your buffer Neo!

Yes Noah. You are going out there to get these poor lost children into a proper eduction system! So long as they score 50+...

Let me refine my comment, they're off to kill dumbledore/professor x.
15820: Whispers of Sorrow - Wednesday, January 17 2018 - 10:50 PM
Careful there Noah, he could be sacrificing the poor sprogs to Nog-Humpty the custard God for all you know.
Honestly though, better they're being sent after someone like this, I was worried they'd lost kids to crocodile wrestling when the blights were first brought up. Especially when one of them was revealed to be Ariara. I hope she survived BTW.

And we still dont know what happens to those who score less than 50+, only that those who do get sent off on stupid missions to kill Xaviar.

@Tor: This mission doesn't seem stupid to me, even if this fellow is benign, he's a threat to the Empire's power base. So naturally they seek to crush him, the desire to maintain power is strong. And even if he bears the empire no malice, has no intention of doing anything beyond painting walls and saving children, any one of his undesirables could be the next blight.
Also, many of the empire's people seem to really, really hate magic users, so taking down a blight would be great PR for this little group.

A possibility here is that this is a trap. The kids are fed a story that they are most likely to object to. If they kill on command, fine, but if they hesitate or rebel, best to learn now when they may be disposed of easily while their powers are still not much.
The test is given to those who have scored 50+ because they are likely to be the most powerful, and thus most dangerous if not under control.

Are Veda's eyes supposed to look like they have red pupils painted on when closed...? Because we DID just get introduced to a deadly assassin with "red pupils"...
So...they're going to be glorified bait?
