The painter of Haven.

darn old men with their vandalism and street art.

15762: Jack - Monday, January 15 2018 - 12:24 AM

I get the feeling that the magic he puts into the paint isn't just for permanence.

15763: Maiker - Monday, January 15 2018 - 12:38 AM

So beautiful

15764: Sid - Monday, January 15 2018 - 12:57 AM

Wonder why they can't just send the Royal Guard after him, there's a catch here

15765: 5 - Monday, January 15 2018 - 1:00 AM

Piccarto = Picasso ?
Meaningful name. A bit like that detective named Doyle.

15766: Brilliand - Monday, January 15 2018 - 1:10 AM

Picasso. They've been recruited to hunt Picasso.

15767: D - Monday, January 15 2018 - 1:25 AM

So, what crimes these 3 great criminal did to become so fameous?
One trashed our harbour.
Other is a deadly assasin.
Last one committed a heinousact of ... vandalism.

everyone: *gasp*. What a monster!

15768: someone - Monday, January 15 2018 - 1:50 AM

The three blights: a pirate who raided port towns, a terrorist who assassinated several officials, and an old guy who paints frescoes without authorization.

15769: Daran - Monday, January 15 2018 - 2:53 AM

Let me guess ... the reason they had to learn spirit detections was so they can try to detect him.

Actually I kind of like the colorful city. If they try to stop him just because of that ...

15770: giovanni - Monday, January 15 2018 - 3:40 AM

vandalism? thats it?

well, for their first mission, its low key enough for them to handle

15771: Z2 - Monday, January 15 2018 - 4:34 AM

I wonder if it's growing less because he's still painting and more because this is the grey goo of art projects. A self-replicating magical entity...

15772: FelixNemis - Monday, January 15 2018 - 4:41 AM

Haven City finally solves the metalhead problem and now this

15773: Alcemon - Monday, January 15 2018 - 4:49 AM

Hey guys, in a place that magic is forbidden, wouldn't you agree that putting magic graffiti that cannot be deleted undermines the institutionality of the whole empire?
How can the government protect and provide for their people if someone is just mocking one of their main rules unpunished?

Besides, most likely, there is more to the graffiti than visual contamination.

15774: Fuz - Monday, January 15 2018 - 4:58 AM

So, uh... the great blight on the empire is... a painter? There's a twist coming, right?

15775: Potatopeelerkind - Monday, January 15 2018 - 5:05 AM

I love street art as much as the next guy, but the weird shapes and patterns and the overabundance of mouths and eyes are giving me the creeps. Looks like something from a Lovecraft book about an insane painter or something. If it was we'd probably find out at the end he'd been horrifically absorbed into his own paintings, along with the rest of the population.

I do feel like those paintings aren't going to just be benign decorations though, not if they charge right in to hunt their creator.

15776: Saiko - Monday, January 15 2018 - 6:01 AM

The Emperor just doesn't like his profile, as portrayed. Many painters have lost their heads because of similar offence. I can understand that.

15777: Anonymous Person - Monday, January 15 2018 - 6:04 AM

I feel like they are going to make the kids paint over the murals with magic first.

15778: LanceLot - Monday, January 15 2018 - 6:04 AM

In all honesty I would love Piccarto's power, imagine a painting of a seed that would 'grow' into a flower as time went on, or a painting of a forest from a few back dots being painted.

15779: Saiko - Monday, January 15 2018 - 6:05 AM

@Potatopeelerkind

On a serious note, this may be some kind of sigils, as known from chaos magic in our universe. This may be dangerous (if it works).

15780: Bisected - Monday, January 15 2018 - 6:28 AM

I always suspected Banksy was up to no good.

15781: Chameon - Monday, January 15 2018 - 8:15 AM

@LanceLot: Just a thought, but imagine you planted that seed. Now imagine from that seed came a forest. Now imagine from that forest came wolves. Now imagine those wolves following you, and whenever they try to bite your shadow, you get bitten. It's a beautiful power, but the question is always where the control ends, and it's art, even the best artists only have so much control over their piece.

On a related note, yes, I also agree with you, I fully believe that's what's going on and the Empire is just mistaken in his location.

15782: Agent Cook - Monday, January 15 2018 - 8:25 AM

That's my kind of criminal

15783: Atlas - Monday, January 15 2018 - 12:48 PM

Bet you $5.00 his paintings predict the future

15784: spunk - Monday, January 15 2018 - 1:17 PM

There will be great dissapointment if there is no "damn kids, get off my lawn" moment.

15785: Pablo360 - Monday, January 15 2018 - 10:51 PM

This man is pure goals

15786: Exasperation - Tuesday, January 16 2018 - 12:43 AM

To add to the unsubstantiated speculation: maybe he's making these paintings to protect the empire, and all those eyes and teeth and whatnot are an accurate depiction of the threats he has defeated and trapped, which will be released once more upon the world if his spells are ever broken...

lolwut number 1 is some kinda vandalizer spray painter, ok,
you'd think MURDER weould be higher up but i guess this is more visible

39526: player_03 - Tuesday, November 21 2023 - 3:11 PM
