MC Hammerdin doesn't want to stop Blessed Hammer Time.

It is interesting that Nightshade has his colors back since losing them in [www.neorice.com/hoh_burk_2852], suggesting that the process is reversible. Might not be great for Evyle if that got out! Plus a clue about the magic system.. like, presumably Evyle isn't making contracts with the spirits that might grant magic-users their powers, forcing them to permanently separate from the magic-user.

Both Evyle and Nightshade seem like schemers who had an apparently adverse result to their secret, off-panel meeting. But it given their natures, it's unclear of that was necessarily what actually happened.. Nightshade could've set up his own palette-swap or they could've arranged something temporary.

There's a man worrying about the important things in life

43029: Tor - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 5:59 AM

We can see Nightshade has been bidding his time, for the best chance to quietly stick it to the Executives.

I still wonder what his deal is. He seemed to be a supporter of Vonnesperade since he made Burk sign the deal. But he also kept in contact with Icey Queen, and now he tries to save Burk and Evelyn.

Existential hero crisis in 3-2-1...

@Storm

*Glances at the huge fire consuming the building where all the contracts are in*

Yeah... I don't think Evyle is too worried about that..

It's a good bluff, but they're still gonna have to figure out how to deal with Mr. Combover as he's In Too Deep with the Executives.

43033: Brilliand - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 10:36 AM

@Welf Not a supporter of Vonesperda. Just someone who had signed a contract, and so was trying to technically follow Vonesperda's rules while helping Burk as much as he could.

43035: Anthony - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 10:42 AM

@storm destroying the contracts (which are in the building that is burning down) reverses the process. Evyle almost certainly _is_ bluffing, and Nightshade is backing her up for unclear reasons.

43036: Saiko - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 11:00 AM

Most probably he's just a co-conspirator with Ice Queen.

43037: Kiithnaras - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 11:05 AM

@Storm This is easily explained as the contracts have been destroyed - Icy Queen and the heroes that were helping Piper were destroyed. Necessarily, Nightshade has his powers back as well. This is a bluff from Evyle and Nightshade is helping, whether he knows it or not.

I'm sure The Hammer is theatrical enough to become just The Ham if he needs a change of career.

43039: joe - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 11:55 AM

Insanely good

43040: Saiko - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 12:15 PM

Hammer, you can call yourself any TOOL, you know...

43041: que - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 12:50 PM

yeah I bet that hero-killer glasses guy is having none of the 'basic survival instincts' freak-out that the rest are

43042: TaranAlvein - Tuesday, August 6 2024 - 1:58 PM

@Welf - He might not have felt he had a choice, having signed that contract. He seems like the kind of person to have actually read it, and carefully considered the ramifications of the terms. That, or he knows what happens if you break the terms.

Regarding Nightstud getting his powers back, we already knew this was reversible from Ice Queen getting her powers back.
