@Deliverance She isn't an unarmed girl, but she is innocent. Somewhat psychotic and violent, but innocent, at least in this regard. And she is also a princess, and saving princesses is what heroes do.
I appreciate that Piper wants to solve her problems herself, but this is one of the situation where she should run to her granddaddy and tattle on the bad guys.

Two minor corrections.
1) Piper Pol is a baroness, not a princess.
2) She has presumably already tattled on the bad guys to the Iron Judge using the communication device in the castle, as that was her mission when we last saw her in chapter 83 fighting her uncle before her recent carefree return attacking shaders in the stree.
