Burk is just running, while Goldman is doing one fancy technique after another.
Unless Goldman stops underestimating Burk, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how this is going to go.

Yeah.. Goldman is not just all talk.
That is a pretty impressive move, and done rather casually as well.
Though it still seem Burks strategy is to run Goldman tired.
22610: Drakian - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 3:30 AM
maybe Burk is studying Goldman's techniques by getting him to use them. this would give Burk and pals an advantage in the future if they ever need to deal with Goldman

Burk has gotten different reactions from the same prompt, and this time he has cause to change up.
Even odds he forces Goldenman to teleport again.
22612: Darius Drake - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 4:21 AM
Okay, yeah, this comic makes it obvious. Goldman's definitely a Free Magic User.
22613: random - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 5:46 AM
It is really nice from the onlookers not standing in front of the stage so we can get full view. I'm wondering though, how is this "showcasing match" is percieved so far? Granted, it's only going on for mere seconds, but looks like it's quite the dynamic one.
Also, "relentless" is a word that's coming to my mind.

I just want to take the time to appreciate Burk t-posing on Goldman mid-evasive leap.
22615: The Pixel Helix - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 8:19 AM
Is it an evasive leap?
I thought the star implied impact.
22616: Luminous Lead - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 8:58 AM
When you evade so hard you T-pose.
22617: Liack - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 9:00 AM
@random : it is quite the showcase of Goldman's abilities, that's for sure.
How foolish of Goldman to believe Burk isn't learning and adapting...-*shakes his head disapprovingly*-
22618: Tom - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 9:06 AM
Wait, are Goldman's attack using actual gold? If so, he's a nightmare to magic users as well :O
22619: Storm - Thursday, July 9 2020 - 11:48 AM
@Tom: I think the rule's that only "natural" gold has the anti-magic effect.
That said, Burk could be pretty crazy with some golden stuff. Ariara was certainly worried about him getting the General's golden sword (www.neorice.com/hoh_burk_933), though Burk might prefer a simple pair of golden "brass knuckles".
If pressed, Burk might borrow some of Pablo's Diplomatic Weapon #1 (www.neorice.com/hoh_burk_507) and use his proven throwing arm (www.neorice.com/hoh_burk_570) to mow down just about any baddie seen so far, but that might seem like throwing money away.

:D If force does not help use more force!

That wall looks like a giant spikey tongue!

Is that a boot?

Goldman: "When will you get tired?"
Burk: "Round two-hundred and thirty nine, let's go!"

@Darius Drake: eh... this just seems like fancy spirit to me. Remember how in Noah's story Gazz and that girl managed to shape their spirit into weapons? It's no different here. We have no reason to believe that's anything but shaped spirit.
Really, there's no way for this to be Free Magic. It looks nothing like the 2 examples of Free Magic we already have, namely the fact that its incredibly hard to use withotu imposing limitations on one's use of the magic. As far as we know, Goldman's not limiting himself in any way. No book, no random effect or needing to debuff himself.
Goldman's got pandemonium magic with the probabiltiy stuff, and he's using spirit otherwise. Honestly, I dont see how you even square his probabiltiy stuff with it being free magic. Everyone is talkign about it being his power, in-universe. If he had free magic, there would be no reason to treat the probability thing as any different from any of the other things he does.
