Burk taking a tactical victory?
First time for everything.
43431: que - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 3:03 AM
Burk's acting really rational..
that concussion really wrecked him.

Okay, so Burk is definitely bitter about this. I mean, it's certainly not a "heroic victory" in the Burkian sense of the expression, it's just, as Burk says, not the worst outcome to this whole expidition. Heck, he got a Cool Guy out of it, so it's definitely a net win in that sense... But, yeah, he's not leaving Eddstadt in the kinda glorious fashion he's used to, that's for sure.

Huh, that was good enough for him.
It really mattered to Burk that no one in his team died.
Also, his balls.
43434: K - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 3:50 AM
Ah, one of those moments of shocking clarity that makes us question just how smart he is.
43435: yikes - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 4:24 AM
poor burk.
complete defeat, throu and thru
43436: Silver - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 4:53 AM
It's not just good, it's good enough.

Burk clearly knows he's in way over his head if he tries to continue after being hit in the head hard enough to be out of it for multiple panels like that.
43438: Mallory - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 7:03 AM
No Burk, you lost one of your balls when you missed with it way back when, remember?
43439: Nanashi - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 7:08 AM
I hope the rain doesn't ruin Burk's painting...
43440: Seikame - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 8:35 AM
I guess that painting has at least as many HP as Burk
43441: Melany - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 9:03 AM
Is that stutter just because of the concussion, or is Burk seriously in that much disbelief about it?
This is easily the most humble we've seen ever.
43442: Ahriman - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 12:14 PM
Folks, Burk's normal attitude is an act. His true character is seen the few times he reveals secrets. He is actually a very rational person, even if he wants with all his heart to be an uncompromising hero.
43443: Luminous Lead - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 1:51 PM
Burk has some solid priorities.
43444: Saiko - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 2:38 PM
"Didn't lose any friends" - so, Morty wasn't on the friend list? Burk was so protective, I thought that...
43445: Brite - Sunday, September 1 2024 - 3:38 PM
I like how Burk is weirdly grim and rational, but still concerned about the painting.
