And Alex fought against Tinkeln, but I don't remember the outcome. Did he lose his powers? That's how he would've found out that something big is happening - getting his powers back.

He actually forced Burk to fight seriously, which is quite an accomplishment. But also, his choice of arena severely limited him. Indoors limits his flight and prevents him from doing large scale weather manipulation, especially since he was presumably trying not to raze his own mansion.
Outdoors this guy could just hover in the air and hurl tornadoes at problems. He could decimate entire armies on his own.
This does raise the question of just who the hell is the TOP ranking hero to join this hero drop.

He's second highest ranking in the hero drop, so possibly there are higher ranking heroes in the town right now, just locals or visiting.
Still, most of the heroes here and in the hero drop seem to to be mercenary types, and Logan is kind of "landowner", having been assigned his own territory to defend. So presumably higher ranking than most "mercs".
