Touching? It could be touching if Veda would be less of a horrendous monster and psychopath.
Nail is either brainwashed, some kind of living weapon like Three with built in loyalty or seriously messed up.
That seems more troubling than touching to me.

@Brownie24128 Could be all three. Living weapons tend to be quite useful targets (or results) of brainwashing, which tends to seriously mess people up IRL.
I'd like to mention for posterity that they are only *theoretically* good targets/results - In reality, this kind of thing is insanely dangerous, because it messes people up *in unpredictable ways*. If said people is best described as "a living weapon", you have a psychological time bomb and you can't see the timer.

Those aren't the only options. It could be purely a business relationship, but Nail has enough of an investment that he'll do everything to save her for his own goal's sake. Similar to when he stated it's in his best interest to keep Noah alive at the start of the nightmare arc.
Nail has never not been pragmatic with how he deals with people, whether it be his goals or keeping his identity hidden.

Well, while Nail does seem to show SOME level of empathy here and there, he also basically just shrugged off Noah getting "killed" because he couldn't remove his hood. I don't think Nail would have any difficulty following Veda's orders, no brainwashing required.

Well, Nail said that Veda was litterally out of this world and couldn't be harmed by those nightmares. Discovering the contrary must be shocking, to say the least. as much as an apostle seeing his messiah being crucified.

Oh, I definitely want to know! Why and how loyal Nail is to Veda has been concerning me for a long time, so his show of emotion is very interesting!
I just think the reason will be rather unpleasant rather than touching.
