You're a weapon as well, you know.

Technically not untrue!

I want to call it now and say the inside of the portal is a really nice and beautiful place. too nice and beautiful, in the sorta uncanny sense, and chernyl is happily inside.

Nice of them to explain their choices. :)

For reference, if anyone doesn't remember, the creepy horse nightmare Gazz refers to is on this page: http://www.neorice.com/hoh_2761

Gaston is correct, of course. Chernyl doesn't seem in control of her powers. But if she is... that's worse, I reckon.

Still, perhaps killing shouldn't be the first resort, if only because it's so difficult to un-kill a person.

oof, going in without agreeing on what to do...

If the Empire gets their hands on her, I imagine it's only a matter of time before they fumble, but only after letting the nightmares cross the sea.

Bad news, all around

Frozenstep, nail doesn't need agreement. He was planning on capturing her without any backup, that's still his plan. If they come in and help, that's just a bonus.

I kinda wonder if Noel here is actually Noel or if he was swapped when he ran off on his own at the start.

The difference is that Gaz can both a) disobey an order if he feels he must

and

b) discriminate targets. He might kill a man fighting him, but he can choose not to kill a child.

And because of that he is treated more like a solider than a weapon. He is given orders that he is expected to obey, but they also listen to his reports and can respect his opinions to an extent.

While Chernyl kills indiscriminately and uncontrollably. They would use her like a bomb. Send her into a location, and just unleash her, killing people until, and this is important, someone kills her anyways. Cherynl is doomed to die anyways.
