I'm sure that's not a sign of anything troublesome.
He 'could' just leap into 'Alex's' head to see what is going on in there, but...
It might reveal his power.
There could be danger.
Walking, nay, even running may be involved. Way too much effort.
I think the orange-haired student is possessing Alex- she's making the same face at Gazz.
Noah is clearly ramped up by all this commotion. He doesn't fold his arms anymore, he keeps hands in the pockets instead, almost ready to be used. Maybe we will see him motivated enough to put a finger into action in a few pages!
The way he described Alex lacking her own spirit... it puts me in mind of the pink haired girl Natalie from the spirit magic class...
I thought free magic users couldn't use spirit? I wouldn't have expected Alex to have spirit regardless of her creepy smile.
Does Fuuka have spirit too? Given Fuuka's approach to fighting, it'd be very useful for her to learn spirit techniques along with free magic.
Just imagine, there might even be runing involved. The horror!
I wonder which one said "Noah" when the pink went away in the school, though.
Now I have a question (that might be answered on the next chapters)
If Noah use his power on someone thats being manipulated by someone else power, will he enter the manipulated person's mind, or on the mind of the manipulator?
It looks too me that there is spirit around Alex. It is just so large that it takes up most of the panel except where there are other people. Pinkish like the color of the spirit that Ciel said was next to Gaston. Every where else is technicolor.
Here's an analogy:
A free magic user can use spirit, the same way a flamethrower can light a candle.
A free magic user doesn't use spirit for the same reason we don't use flamethrowers to light candles.
I'm thinkin Alex said this when she was beginning to get possessed. As if she was asking Noah for help as the doppelganger of such took over body.
@Potatopeelerkind: Alex has spirit, she just isn't trained in using it. She might actually benefit from such training, as it would enable her to do certain things far more cheaply in energy terms, but given that she's only been studying magic for a week or two...
Maybe YOU don't...
Why not it is fun!!!!! even indoors..... don't tell my insurance company please....
