fyi, happy new years to you all in advance! I actually set myself the goal of reaching page 1000 before 2017, and yesterday I managed to do just that! :D My buffer game is still going strong.

The Mage King gives magic to his followers? So they don't actually have magic of their own? Or is it that he gives them unlimited fuel? Very intriguing.
I'm actually glad we didn't get to see a complete shot of the criminal's death on the last panel: that stuff looks brutal.
Again, makes Burk even stronger in comparison, since he dodged all of those death spells :o

It looks like that was his plan, but you tend to lose your nerves when the powerful mage bent on killing you starts summoning balls of magic under your feet, and the prisoner wasn't exactly the bravest sort to begin with.
I'm hoping that Moe distracts Ariara and the Judge defeats them both.
