Only if his magic would turn himself into smoke. If his magic turns other stuff into smoke, he could have dissolved the lock mechanism or something! :D

Also, I'm more inclined to believe that Guy escaped through trickery or gadgets, not magic. He comes from a place where magic is a crime punishable by death, and while maybe having magic would explain why he's so chill in this area and with the other magic kids back in Noah's plotline, I think it's more likely he's just got backup plans in case he gets locked up.
the best part is that Page 666 is happening on a Sunday.
Im pretty sure guy is just a very ressourceful person. it would fit the cliché he represents of the badass investigator
