Oh not this. Oh this is so aggravating! When two people with secrets that they know the other has but they don’t say these secrets out loud! I know there’s no reason for them to blab out the secrets but come on! Nobody needs a reason to blab their secrets, just say them out loud for us.

I called him being an esper awhile back. This is pretty vague though. Could be suggesting either or maybe he is both.

Veda might know about his power. She's the one who recognized whether kids had powers, right? Or was that someone else? She can't tell what a kid's power is if they don't reveal it.

Seems like Evyle is suggesting that Guy is a magic user or otherwise bound up with magic. She also says that nobody else seems informed on this fact.

If that were true, would it imply that Burk is not, in fact, an esper? If he was, I assume he’d be able to see the same secrets about Guy as Evyle.

So, Guy has some sort of talent that Evyle can detect, or at least that Guy considers it plausible that Evyle can detect. That might just be a bit of magic potential (his ability to remain unnoticed is consistent with Mask), but he's pulled a fair number of suspect stunts while no-one was watching, so it's probably not just that.

So she can see Guy's Pandemonium spirit. That explains how he dealt with that assassin earlier.

Methinks Guy is a magic user, perhaps magic entity.

Well that's interesting. Who trained Guy, is he self-taught? What kind of magic-user is he?

Esper powers have some variety to them just like magic potential does. There are presumably very powerful espers who tower over Evyle but can't pull off something like her magic contracts.

Burk is likely a very strong Esper, but his skills are combat-centric. He can see wandering spirits, but he might not be able to see spirit attached to a Pandemonium user.

As for other espers... I'm pretty sure Noel can only see Ciel because she's manifesting as a projection of spirit to talk to Noah. I don't think Noel could see slime eye gal's spirit just hanging around her.
Ms. Shalhia the Paladin on the other hand did talk to Infinite's spirit, albeit only after Tobi had a look at him. So it is an ability on the esper skillset.

I think it's most likely that Guy is some sort of magic user, but it's not impossible he is some other sort of entity Evyle recognizes. Regarding the author caption, Evyle's eyes might be regular esper eyes, but she might have seen some... other things in her line of work than just spirits and mages and espers. Maybe royal guard training flags him on the esper scanner. Or maybe it's to do with the mechanical island thing.

I do think that if Guy is magical, it's something that Evyle can see but Burk cannot.
I'm of the opinion Evyle is a much stronger esper than Burk, but Burk is vastly stronger as a fighter and has a more focused skillset.
