On another note I didn't realise that they knew what DNA is or even that it exists in this world. Is this the first mention of DNA in this comic? I don't remember it anywhere else.
I'm not sure how easy it is to see that DNA exists within cells but to understand that it is actual genetic material is not simple and would require certain scientific and technological (or the magical equivalent) advancement.

As for DNA, it is very interesting that it's mentioned, I think that with access to such magic as they have, the equivalent of divination spells from other realms is a strong possibility (thus they can learn about it without actually tinkering too much).
But we know from Tobi arc, that there are genetic experiments, so at least Global Order has some scientific understanding of such things. Maybe this isn't a public knowledge though.
