Probably not realizing that if/when they are implicated in the murder/attempted murder of a diplomat from a powerful nation with powerful political ties will make it very hard to spend that money. Assuming the execs don't just off them to tie up loose ends. It's gonna be very satisfying if/when they get taken down.
