Is the... has the cat been though magic trauma?

Somewhere out there there's a dark crystal mine that uses cats as miners.

I mean, I guess there's no reason a cat couldn't be marked by magic after trauma... Pets can get traumatized...

I suppose it also stands to reason that animals can be subjected to Dark Crystal as well.
