I wonder if Alfen is gonna join the party or if he's going to be some sort of friendly/rival-ish antagonist.
I wonder what he was gonna say before deciding to not go through with it. was he going to ask him if he's related to the "Sky-stroke Hero".

I've got a hunch that Burk is actually a lot more perceptive and worldly than he lets on but keeps up the 'clueless goofball' person because it's true to him to a degree and it's easier for him to relate to people (and stay under the radar) like that.

looking back through the archives to find the "Sky-stroke Hero", I found a cat in page 955 that looks oddly like the cat in page 1470. people already realized that when the page came out, so this is just a friendly reminder I suppose

Interesting, Alfen doesn't buy into Burk's goofball, uh, "act"... This may, in fact, make Alfen one of the wisest characters introduced so far. Not because Burk isn't a goofball, he most definitely is, but he's also a lot of things that do not fit the "goofball" mold.

@Drakian It seems heavily implied, if not outright stated, through the entire page that it was about being spied on.

@ Panic: I have a hunch that Burk is the Son or Brother of either the leader of the Oceanic Cartel, or a significant authority in it. It would explain why his mother embroidered it's symbol into a heart on a frilly pink apron.

This would be funny, except knowing Berk he probably DID notice.

And thus did all of Piper's grand schemes come to naught.

I wish we saw Burk in "serious mode" more often.
Moments like these reminds me/makes me question past events where he was visibly extremely perceptive and tactically smart yet the rest of the time he acts like a bumbling idiot
