I expected a ghoul, but this is a little different. Maybe it's a level-20 who doesn't need the fighting xp anymore.

The real question will be : is a reliable translator ? Doesnt he have fun inducing human in errors ?

I suppose for every system of rules there must be someone that runs counter to it. We know ghouls are magic user corpses possessed by a spirit. What we don't know is what assigns them their quests or gives them new power when they level up. Is there some spirit DM running things like a game? Maybe this one decided to play a new game.
