Praise the web guy fixing things!
So it looks like Burk and his adventuring party are in the sights of one of the most powerful groups in the world, and they don't even know it.

Kind of wild that this man uses "whilst" and "these guys" in the same sentence.

This certainly isn't going to backfire at all...

Not even a single thought given to going "Maybe we should just preemptively start cleaning our house and getting stuff in order".

"In order to protect ourselves from consequences incurred due to being scummy a-holes, we're not going to learn anything from this and instead focus on how to prevent incurring further consequences due to being scummy a-holes."
C'mon, Hero Man, you know you don't belong in this company. You're better than this.

What White Stars haven't been introduced yet? Just the rock guy? I'm also unsure about the dirty blonde partially out of frame in the first panel.

To be completely fair, he does ACKNOWLEDGE the corruption, and it's not like they could just go and solve that problem overnight. There is practicality to them focusing on a issue that's both more immediate and actionable.

@ noname: No, no he isn't. He's just a Public Face who happens to be strong enough to be able to fight at a White Star Level. He might be high on the power list, but it's also probable that he's middling or even relatively weak for a White-Star Hero.
Relatively being the important word there. Even the weakest White Star is still easily stronger than any five Gold Star Hero's.

I'm starting to think/hope that when Heroman meets Burk, they'll probably fight but he'll actually try to *listen* to Burk.
Which means he'll realize that Burk is actually more heroic than the entirety of Heroland and will just... let him loose.
