guessing Evyle didn't die so much as she became a horrific merger between a spirit, an esper and said esper's nightmare entity..
magic's a pretty distressing concept in this world, really. either you're granted magic powers (from a horrific-looking entity that you're unable to see) or something traumatic happens and you're suddenly seeing and interacting with said entities, all the time, until they basically kill you.
that being said i guess there's also a rare chance you'll turn out like Burk so.. eh. fine, i guess.

Burk sure is loyal to his buddy!
The lady in blue seems to be sensing... something?

We know from the Noah arc (heh) that paintings can be very bad news in this setting...

Being pulled like this cannot possibly be good for Morty's health.

Hmm. Now i slightly worry thats actually the highest ranked hero there in the bottom panel.
So far staying out of the fight because this stupid mess felt beneath her dignity to handle.
(cant blame her. It is a idiotic situation. trying to steal a hostage away from a guy with a painting on his back)

Did one of the Heros paint the painting or recognize it? Will they know that Burk is technically favored by the Mage Baron?

According to the map there was a group of Shaders in that direction. Emphasis on was because given the bit of red oozing from off screen that might not be the case anymore.

The Painting pulling its weight in this fight, what a team player.
