Important info: There's something in there that wasn't before.
Instead, he focuses on semantics.
Same issue with just dismissing Akriad. Yes, it could just be him, but you can't just rule it out by default.

These people are the worst magic researchers I've ever seen, from Zelmeyer's dismissal of Akriad's gut feelings, to whatever the hell this is - do they not know that they're researching magic? The same phenomena that's supposed to being forth the supernatural and the weird? Or did they just forget how they put magic stones into the machine that probably vaporised a civilization?
