A full hour to set up tents? Even disregarding modern tents, which are fairly easy to set up in 10-15-ish minutes, I still gotta say that sounds highly inefficient...

Efficient? Well, depends. If they travelled to the woods in 10 miles distance, searched and found a dead tree, chopped it down and made fire wood from it - well, an hour is incredibly fast. But if using pop-up-tents and getting out the firewood from the bags: How on planet did they manage to wast an hour for that?
