I find it unlikely that Valiant would wish to stifle Held's growth by having people go easy on her during actual sparring.

More likely he dont want to get stabbed.

Still messed up that real swords are just casually allowed in a sparring match. What if he actually gets stabbed? Is master Z secretly a master of healing arts, or will Jasper just be told to suck it up?

@Melany who is to say it's sharp I seen blunt metal swords used for training. getting stabbed may not go through but it would hurt.
plus don't they have that spirit shield thing?
