Burk's Ability to punch spirit : confirmed.
This means that burk is significantly more powerful than evyle, as he can actually control the spirit's emotions instead of just their actions.

Was honestly expecting his fist to phase right through her. But this is WAY more satisfying.
@The. Not necessarily more powerful, but rather, very differently powered. Burk couldn't do anything but hide and keep others hidden when faced with a potential ghoul, whereas Evylle apparently defeated a ghoul (as much as they can be at least)

Maybe this isn't his inherent ability, but something that Evyle woman did (gave him temporary powers for example). After all she briefed him before this fight for a reason.

Isn't that the red light from the blasting orb that Burk is drawn in front of in today's panels?
It seems pretty much the same location relative to Vonny as the orb's diffuse red glow was in yesterday's page, at any rate.
Eh, she can probably survive that.
So her body - well, parts of her body - can touch and break magic constructs. Shouldn't that mean the reverse is true? If you make a stick out of magic and wildly flail it around, what are the chances you'll bonk a spirit you didn't know was there?

This seems unusually serious for Burk. Though I doubt decapitation actually kills spirits.
@Feddlefew that's probably the laser satellite the spirit has. Burk's sprite is overlayed on it.

Well, okay, time to find if spirits need their head to stay attached to their body in order to survive.
If so, Morty will have to find something else to simp on.
