My theory is that Nail is a ghoul who's, er, "gained a lot of levels". This would explain the (possible) relation to black crystal, and why he hides himself so much.
Kinda like the robot theory, too, ngl.

Nail is clearly just an albino individual, its not nice to assume people are monsters because of their genetic disabilities guys
