What if Nail is a nightmare himself?

I just checked when we last saw Nail (page 2348, six days and a year ago). Nail was violently penetrated according to the sound effects.

Well, we have already established that Nail is either an undead or a robot or something "non-living", since spirit sensing cannot detect him (see poor Malhart's arc), the question is, when will the narrative other shoe drop to enlighten us...

In any case, in this magic-filled nightmare realm that seems extremely helpful.

Can't wait to see what will happen when our party reaches Chernyl. I don't know about Catz (or rather, his remote-droid), but now we have 4 different interests clashing when we reach her! (Assuming Noah gets back into a functional state)

IIRC Nail has been heavily implied to be metallic in composition? My guess is a rogue robot from the factory city.

So. Just a thought. Veda has to know about Chernyl for some reason. What if Nail's an old, escaped nightmare? He leads Veda on to the target, because he wants to get her back to being free...

Mmm...Bit of a stretch. Could happen, but limits him pretty substantially.

Back in page 2736 the grey child implied that Nail was still alive. It also told us Nail is full of black crystal. That’s probably why he’s invisible to spirit sense.

I believe that Noah is in every possible way total opposite and lack of any kind interest, regardless of what state he is in...

The grey child merely called him a "faceless one with black crystal", he didn't specify that he wasn't human or that he was a golem. Given how much he knows, I find that surprising.

I usually do the same in retaliation.

I always thought of Nail as an undead, however he can also be some kind of golem, like Three. Maybe that's why he doesn't want to remove his mask (because he has no eyes, or mouth).

@Zed- The Statue and The Faceless One epitaphs could apply to Veda or Nail at this point, with more evidence that Nail is the later, but TBH Im more interested in what Veda could be to earn either of those...

@Grey Look at the Grey Child's wish on page 2739. We cant' see what it is, but I'm guessing that wish conflicts with all three of the others' interests, and thus Noah really *does* represent a fourth interest here... even if he personally doesn't really care.

Nail is a golem made of black crystal and Vedas insurance policy. Or an elf. Looking forward to the return of the green haired goddess!

Oh-kay... but nightmares being immortal, shouldn't you guys attempt to get a move on before it starts moving again? With Nail having escaped, it may still be feeling peckish.

I think Noah doing nothing is rather appropriate for this level of snark given the circumstances.
