Is "Featherweight" one of the three orange images about Potential Arts that was at the bottom of page 960? Personally, I think it's more an advanced application of Surging, while the 11 Potential Arts were more a case of relatively unique applications, even if some of them have the same core components.

@Darius Drake
You mean page 690. Also, page 2150 gives a more detailed description of spirit arts, including subcategories of arts, which featherweight probably is.

I feel like featherweight technique will be used very soon

Really strikes just how good of a job Malhart must've done teaching his kids, since Noel seems extremely knowledgeable on all of this.

Hey, no blood! Nice!

I'm straining my eyes to try and find the secret hidden horror that Neoriceisgood had hidden in each panel for this room but still failing until he finally reveals it.
@Neoriceisgood, you are a magician in storytelling.

I feel like featherfall was the answer to the "cross the river" challenge Garth gave in page 1021.
Boost your spirit like Cherry did, jump halfway, and then glide through surge/featherfall to thr finish line.

@Aston
You mean like how one of the shadows on the left is REACHING OUT TOWARDS NOEL'S FEET?!! Or maybe it's just drawn that way, like Jessica Rabbit.

Agreed with the commenters here, Noel makes for a great teacher. Being able to directly manipulate spirit to make a practical example is a big plus

D&D Feather Fall!
33464: Tom - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 10:25 AM
I'm too late for the Feather Fall comment, ain't I?

I'm concerned how cool Noah looks here. It's unnatural.
33466: Cellphone - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 11:50 AM
I wonder how exactly Featherweight works; one of the things that's been hammered home is that as potentially effective as Surge is, it only does anything to spirit.
33467: Feddlefew - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 11:53 AM
I think if anything this arc shows that Noah and the other Veda Project kids were severely undertrained when Veda decided to start the mission. They were still learnIng how to regulate their spirit, which is something Noah seems to be reasonably good at and has allowed Noel to show him more advanced techniques in the first place.
33468: Sam - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 4:54 PM
Man, Noah would look so fucking badass in these panels if it weren't for context.
33469: TaranAlvein - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 4:54 PM
@noname: That's Noel's shadow. Noah is currently shedding light.
I'm much more concerned about that anatomical doll. I've read the Corpse Party manga, Neorice! You're not catching me off guard with that thing!
33470: Darius Drake - Tuesday, September 20 2022 - 5:17 PM
@ noname: Actually, given that Noah's the main source of light in the room, that's a REALLY good depiction of how light would act, for a sprite comic. If it was hand-drawn the artist could go into far more detail, but honestly even most actually drawing their comics could easily miss doing that correctly.

@TaranAlvein
Isn't that just setting you up for a red herring?

Might be a case of Nothing Is Scarier here.
