I wouldn't say "just for the sake of arguing". Noah doesn't want to argue, he doesn't want to talk at all. Noah has a... personality... a somewhat direct one at that. These people said that he shouldn't be there. He has permission from the faculty, and to some extent The Emperor himself. As hall monitors(why do people lie? It just makes everything more complicated for no benefit.) these people have a job to know who is permitted where.
They are failing at their job and should be corrected to prevent future problems.
They are dispensing false information that should be corrected...
They are accusing Noah and his team of improper conduct. That is a personal insult right there.
Noah is being perfectly sensible. It is everyone else who is needlessly complicating everything!
Is Noah's eye-glow visible to the normies?

Direct or not, he's no reason to ask why they're in the room, they literally only took like a couple steps into it, anyway. He was leaving, Noah could've just lead with that instead of trying to argue that he has a reason to be there.
The three aren't really failing at their job by taking a couple steps into the room or "dispensing false information" (can't really call it false if you can't prove it's not the truth).
They are accusing Noah of something he's not doing, but they do have reason to suspect it and it's hardly an insult at all by speculating that two strangers are smooching in a room where two strangers generally go to smooch. The only insult was calling Noah a smartass and that was in retaliation to his unnecessary questioning.
Noah's not being sensible, he's just got a momentary loss of sensibility that's costing him time on this mission. He could've literally just ignored them and left the room, but he only accomplished stalling himself.

I'd say 'probably no' but it's possible. Tobi's family has the same eye glow ability applied differently, and nobody sees her eyes glow.

I get the feeling Guest's comment was meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek- he's explaining what Noah's thinking from his perspective. Sure, if you ask me, Noah could have handled it better. But his actions make perfect sense from the perspective of the defensive, tactless and extremely blunt person that Noah is. And Noah isn't aware that he comes off as hostile.
