It obeys you?

More or less.

'Kay. Not every spirit is subject to its user's control. Got it.
(Imagine if Ciel didn't listen to Noah?? Oh my god...)

Moe.
Remember the "magic madness" (www.neorice.com/hoh_burk_947) of the artificial magic users? If every magic user has a "Ciel" but not everyone can see them (implied on www.neorice.com/hoh_1414)--what are the artificial magic users' "Ciel"s like?
Moe's story seems similar to the "innocent people may suffer" part, at least.

Anyway, that's my guess for now. Subject to change when we receive further info. (*Really* hope the next page gives further info...)

Not as informative as I'd hoped.

It does confirm the theory that he's dealt with a spirit like this before (though that was specifically about him having one of his own).

...also, I find it funny that he's trying to *tell* Noah that he sees him as an enemy soldier. Seems like he's making excuses, and not really thinking about who he's making them to.

@Brilliand It's probably more him trying tell Noah he's not trying to trick him, and that his advice is for the safety of civilians, which both would care about

This should be interesting. What are Ciel's motivations?

23138: Baprr - Friday, August 14 2020 - 4:46 AM

@Tom She is quite insistent on Noah using their sleep-entering power on somebody powerful, which would expand her own powers (since entering a cow weakened her).

I think we will find out more when Noah enters Gazz.

"It's not like I see you as an ally, or anything...baka!

Hmm... So not all sentient spirits obey their "users"... Come to think of it, Ciel basically gave Noah a seizure a few pages back when he ignored her. Wonder if that's an indication that she's gaining autonomy? And with as eager as she is to have Noah use his abilities, it's not impossible that she gains autonomy the more he uses them... Maybe that's Ciel's goal? To break free from Noah's control?

I wonder if maybe he's the one with sentient spirit. It's unclear if being able to detect that sort of thing is an ability that Ciel would have — either now or after Noah uses his power again.

It sounds like he thinks Ceil is an external thing, rather than a literal extension of Noah's own apparent powers, which is what Ciel has made it sound like.

Also, the cat-thing has stopped moving and hasn't marked him. Also curious.

I'm curious what would happen if Noah entered this guy he's talking with right now.
