Thought for a moment the colored shades in the background are supposed to have some magic power putting them in that shape, but I guess it's just a new type of background-character sprite?

@Greendread

Yeah, putting too many character sprites on top of eachother creates a jumbled mess, so I'm sticking to colored silhouettes to indicate "crowds".

I just noticed that many of the magic users we've been introduced to so far have abilities that contrast with their personality: Noah, who generally avoids interacting with others, can now enter their minds; Aude, who is notably violent, has the power to heal; Gaston, a person who is normally friendly and relaxed, can shatter boulders; and Felix, an insufferable showoff, has the ability to hide things away. Was this intentional, or am I reading into this a bit too much?

@Reginald

While I won't go into details regarding the powers themselves (as some might have more to them than is known to readers atm) I'll say that I try to avoid really common power/personality tropes. (e.g. Felix's personality + explosion powers)

Definitely an interesting way to look at it though, and I won't deny that for a handful of characters I did intentionally pick powers that contradicted personalities. :)

@neorice: Isn't Alide essentially, female Wolverine? Bad temper, love of violence, regeneration.

"Now children, let's talk magic" - and pulls a rabbit out of a sleeve (hat would be more classic, but this is REAL magic, no cheap stage tricks ;)).

Strange that these leaders are condescendingly calling their new super-soldiers 'kids.'

Way to generate insubordinate attitudes, ya failures!

@D

I'm sure there's more characters that combine animalistic aggression + regeneration beyond just Wolverine.

It's not a particularly uncommon combination as advanced healing's one of the more common powers for physical fighting heroes & aggression's a common personality trait for those types of characters.

Do keep in mind that all you guys know about Aude's power is a second hand recount by Guy though.
