Simple solution.

Good job Hamste on Discord for finding it out right away!

Does Tobi take math class in Rauel?

16744: Arcadian Knight - Thursday, March 29 2018 - 12:35 AM

For Tobi, this is all easy mode. Wonder when it will have a challenge for her.

@Arcadian Knight: "[HM45] Prove that when n is an integer, n > 2, the equation x^n + y^n = z^n has no solution in positive integers x, y, z."

She's got their numnber.

Never underestimate Tobi!

Simplest solutions are the simplest. I hope the guy will find a challenge for himself to shine, because otherwise he will have some mental breakdown.

Oh my god, look at his face on last panel!
His face is totally priceless!

16752: Pablo360 - Thursday, March 29 2018 - 11:29 AM

@Centaur: Not only could she figure it out, I bet she could fit it in the margins of a textbook.

16753: Fuz - Thursday, March 29 2018 - 12:07 PM

...how?

16754: Solaris - Thursday, March 29 2018 - 1:26 PM

Hm, I wonder if if was plugging in the missing numbers. The answer begins with a 2, and the last chunk had a 6000 number missing. Or not--my ability to read the tiny type is severely lacking.

Speaking of discord, that discord chat link in the left no longer works.

I almost feel sorry for him.

@Centaur Either I'm reading it wrong (english is not my first language) or you could simply state Fermant's theorem. As far as I know there is no proof for all cases, but there is a set of separate proofs for all n < 100 000 (if my memory is correct).

@D Isn't Fermat's theorem just the statement, which Centaur asked for the proof for?
