I thought about it, and I think Noah went to some sort of parallel universe. And Noahs universe can interact with this one in awkwardly distorted way.

Burk will get his 2nd turn approximately two chapters from now.
Hero Oh Hero generally centers around three characters, with a chapter dedicated to each of them.
It is much easier to follow the storyline in this fashion as opposed to flitting from one character's storyline to another every few pages.
Please consider giving Noah and the remaining character a chance. They have a lot to contribute to the story and their storylines really flesh-out the setting.
