Oh hello checkerboards.
Son of a *****! One of the others actually pressed red. Thing is ... I am not completely convinced that Fox Lady did not press red as well.
Nice flooring there. I am certain that "delaying" anyone who fell was the intention...
So where is Tobi hurrying to? It doesn't look like she has pressed any button other than her own, so the door back should be still closed?
She's doing a Dungeoneer Thing.
Nobody knew she was red, did they? So, why did someone hit the red button?!
note that only red actually corresponds with a colour that exists on a contestant.
firstly that means Tobi=red is a wild guess for any other contestant, so the fact that someone else pressed red may mean they pressed both. or they got the colours of other players as their hint.
secondly, it may mean multiple contestants have the same colour to cause conflict.
also, note that many of the instructions from the previous comic were in second person. different instructions may be true for other contestants/rooms.
Anyone here ever watch the recent Madness animations? With the guys with the mustaches holding signs that say âYOU ARE BETRAYEDâ?
Itâs unsurprising though. The other two both knew Tobi wouldnât betray anyone, and so their only chanc to betray someone was to get Tobi. So then itâs just trusting that the pther personâs a jerk.
One of the other contestants may have pushed one of the others' buttons at random to try to find out who has which color.
Don't forget, the game might have told EVERY player they were "Red".
All players might be honest, but afterwards believe the others tried to betray them afterwards if so.
Time to disco. Can Tobi dance?
Sooo...umm....just a thought. Is it actually possible that the Beast woman is completely incapable of discerning colors, and that actually nobody -intentionally- betrayed anyone else?
@OverBern: Purple could figure out that Tobi is read, because White almost died and that definitely isn't Tobi.
Also I feel that the "..." at the end is Tobi going "well this is annoying".
Which is to say Tobi is going to escape this just fine, corner Levin who tried to eliminate the other skill (vs power) cleaner, get the code from him and then drag the injured Levin through the rest of the dungeon.
Maybe not, but I could see that happening.
Good call on Purple being able to figure out who everyone else was out from the comment aimed at White.
Im still not certain this is as simple as Levin betraying anyone.
Could also just be the game is rigged so that no matter what everyone else pushed, then red would get triggered?
@Cluedrew: found that part (1122). tobi's not particularly less hurried than the others, and I haven't seen anyone use any kind of drug, even though the hint in 1101 explicitly says there's someone who needs a drug in her ward (if we can take that to mean one of these three people).
maybe the drug was in the pig head (could have been one of the less disgusting containers in the hippo room instead actually) and/or Fox was using it when we first saw her (only pretending to look at the code). that explains:
why no-one's particularly hurried, she already succeeded before we even saw her face.
the vomit, she had to reach into the pig head.
why she hasn't mentioned the code later even though she was so preoccupied with it then.
1114, she exclaims she got some on her. she might have carried it to have a cover for the gunk she got on her while retrieving the drug/investigating the head earlier.
only other onscreen-ish opportunity I saw is 1121. Levin goes first, and has his back turned for a while. they're apart from each other, searching offscreen, for a while though.
also, White's counter may not have been for the drug. there's at least one contestant that has special rules, who says there's not one who for example just needs to be fast?
Great comic as always.
Also, I wanted to share a random thought I had the earlier.
"Why do I feel like Burk could beat up the White-Haired Knight while simultaneously making a smoothie?"
