In Piper's defence, Burk threatened her with his flex first.
Hmmmm... So I suppose we can assume that Cutie Cannon is NOT her only move
Man, why you gotta scare the sheepies like that?
SHEâS TERRIFYING THE SHEEP!!
ONLY A VILLAIN WOULD HURT ANIMALS!
BURK HAS FINALLY FOUND THE TRUE VILLAIN OF THIS STORY!
( I hold no grudge nor anger towards Piper as I am merely as youâd say âfoolingâ around. )
Oh Piper, why did you ask . . .
Bye bye to a few of her teeth.
It actually takes longer to be knocked down by being on fire than to be knocked down by being kicked... which doesn't bode well for a mage with poor agility in a toe-to-toe fight. (That's assuming she could even get Burk to catch fire...)
Not the sheep, how could you. I'm rooting for you Burk
Oh gods, the expression on those sheep are just bloody hilarious.
I am starting to think Piper is not a very responsible magic user though.
I am getting the feeling she means idol like in the "effigy of a god" kinda sense instead of the anime kawai idol kinda a sense.
Maybe a bit of both actually, since she is a cute elemental after all
Oh the humanity!
I feel so sorry for that poor innocent landscaper. What did they ever do to you?
A kick deals a lot less collateral damage.
I'm picturing Burk's mind right now as him telling Piper: Impressive fireworks, much like a cannon shooting cannonballs at a wall... Is that how you intend to smash a fly?
Alternatively: How is setting the country on fire supposed to protect your face from Burk?
Yeah, I'm clearly not biased here..,
I'm hoping that's just an illusion spell to mess with the bumpkin and her actual combat skills are more aimed and don't actually involve lighting the countryside on fire.
Idol Collage WOULD be a good name for an illusion spell.
What kind of collage did she go to?
@someone: I agree about the sheep (they've really been having a rough day, poor little things) but the sunflowers? Isn't this what they want?
They have an interesting way of not attracting attention.
She can now kick him eight times at once.
BEWARE THE MUS-CLES
Also... THOSE POOR SHEEP!
Seeing as the Judge was able to physically tank some of Burk's hits in a way (he was fighting him close-combat with his magic hammer), and considering the fact that he is a simple old man without his magic, Piper would logically have magic-amped defense as well.
The question is if she's smart enough to trigger it for a Burk brawl.
Burk beat up the pirate of the storm who definitely had some kind of magic defense when fighting him, but that didnât stop Burk from punch her lights out, so this should be no different.
The judge was wearing armor, though, and I'm pretty sure he's better at fighting than Piper is (even if he's old now, he looks like he was in good physical shape when he was younger).
i see, she must have wandered straight out of a Scott pilgrim Comic into this one. wonder whose Ex she is. xD
(if you don't get the reference ,don't bother.)
If you want to fight me
Ha! You're not the brightest
You won't know what hit you in the slightest
Me and my fireballs
My Demon Hipster Chicks!
I'm talking the talk, cause I know I'm slick!
Fireball girls, take this sucker down.
Let us show him what we're all about!
To be fair, if Burk is her mentor, then I didn't get the memo. As someone other than a mentor, issuing a challenge narratively labels you as being confident, which, narratively, requires opposition, in the form of being proven overconfident. By convention, Burk should lose this fight, but how? Are his trunks flammable? Will he realise that his recklessness is endangering innocent sheep and surrender?
well for one thing, Burk can *hit the broad side of a barn* with a kick.
@Mikato1 the barn gets up and grows legs to avoid Burks kicks.
