Does this mean he actually used Spirit? He managed to do something by a lesson plan?

Or is there a gimmick to how the math works out to actually allow a good number of points through guessing? (Or estimating, or mathematical exploitation?)

I find that idea kinda being a bigger cliffhanger than the number of points Noah got, which is either near perfect or nullified (because Garth believes he cheated somehow)

Weird cliffhanger. He can't have maximum since he couldn't spot the weird girl. He shouldn't have zero because even if he did mistakes, he should earn some points from not being spotted...
Or is he getting a "come into my office" reward?

I like how you've pointed out once again that Veda is not only foreign but also getting used to at least the written language by accidentally messing up the alphabet.

Actually the cliffhanger allows us to wonder about other shenanigans.

Did Noah get a much lower score than we know he should have, if so why? (Purposefully getting some wrong, being docked points for stupid reasons, etc).

Is he being given a 0 in the form of 'does not qualify' because they discovered Ciel somehow?

and several other 'is Noah somehow buggered over' scenarios.

Heck even the scenario of 'is this a non-cliffhanger, cliffhanger' in which Noah gets pretty much the score we expect him to get?

Felix is surprisingly successful, and Nail is surprisingly immobile. Maybe Nail has turned himself off for the day, to conserve battery power or something?

Veda then announces Garth's score. Nobody talks about Noah.

Noah was at 18 last time. He should get 2 points for the glove, 35 for identifying 7 contestants, and then from 1 to 8 points for hiding, giving him a total between 56 and 63.

I bet Lauren only got three points because he made incorrect guesses.

I guess that means the only points for Natalie are the points she got for not being detected, that means not even Garth could detect her!

Lauren (who was initially named Loren if I remember correctly, though cant remember pagenumber) got only 3 points. Was it yesterdays comment where some commenter figured guessing the item would bring 2 points? The other should be 'not being detected from Natalie'. Or 3 students were not able to detect him.

Noah can't have 0 because she stated lauren had the lowest with 3 points.

Guess Gazz and Alita are better at the physical stuff. Will Noah be at the top of the class after this?

Also, go Felix. I bet part of the reason for his high score is that while many people found that someone was there they didn't name him specifically because of the way he disguised himself.

Maybe Veda is just pleased and surprised that Noah took her advice.

Also, he looks like a girl AND his name is Lauren? Isn't that lucky?

I doubt Veda is going to let him sit safely above 50 points.

Hrrrm, I'd say that either Noah was disqualified from sense points thanks to Gazz the grass (*hawk* *spit* *spit* *spit*) for using the wrong advanced spirit technique, or he made the full fifty points thanks to spotting seven pupils and the teacher.

I was hoping Alita would do better than that, I fear she made some bad guesses. :( Still, she's one good score away from fifty. :)

Princess/Lauren/Loren(http://neorice.com/hoh_noah_809 this page is still named as such in the archive btw) may have earned points via random quadrant guessing, explaining his unexpectedly high score. This poor little sod is a walking ghost.

Felix was surprising successful. My guess is that he attained a good rating from stealth by making it hard to tell who, exactly, was in his bunker (Ciel suggested this possibility), scored well at the quadrant guessing(six points would be his for the picking without using spirit), picked up princess as easy points and made one more accurate bunker guess.

So how did we do with our own guessing?

@someone Lauren most likely only got three points for the Masking part of the challenge, as he wasn't using spirit to inform his guesses, it's unlikely he would have made it to the Scouting challenge and would have thus been limited to hiding himself every hour.

Felix is really surprising, as this means he managed to master spirit detect enough to successfully guess the guard's item and locate some of the students. If I had to guess, he probably succeeded in naming Lauren, Gaston, Cherry, and Alita. With the glove factored in, that means Felix would have gotten 1 point from the Masking part of the challenge. Similarly, it means Gaston managed to figure out detect enough to learn the identities of at least one or two students (if he managed 8 points for masking, he would need to have figured out the location of at least Lauren, and gotten five locations right)

Did Noah earn bonus stealth points for spoofing his location?

@15642: Sir. Orc Gaston can't have earned 8 points for masking because at least Noah detected him. He likely located Noah by following his projection.

@Chillas: Appears. She said Princess "appears" to have the lowest score. She seems to be learning of the scores as she reads them. That said, if he wasn't disqualified somehow, Noah must have at least one point, as Natalie only scored stealth points.

And I scored 8 points too...
